Maplestory "This is an ID that is already logged in or the server is under inspection." HELP?

Question

I would be playing maplestory right now but whenever I try to log in i get an error message saying "This is an id that is already logged in or the server is under inspection. Please check again." I don't know what to do or how long it will last. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Someone is accessing your account. Keep checking up on it until that person logs out then change your password as soon as possible.

Neither of you are right! Sorry.I have exactly the same problem. More than likely it is a glitch. I have 2 accounts and i logged in fine with one but the other account gives me this error as well.Wrote a ticket to Nexon but their reply is the usual verbage:" turn off anti-virus and fire-wall...or re-download the game".Did all of the above and still the same problem. You are not getting hacked....It is a corruption in the profile....on Nexon side...not you....and i bet a lot more people have the same problem .You could check the Forum at the nexon site. Hopefully it will come good with the next server maintenance.

Originally i thought i was getting hacked as well so i logged in with the other account and checked one by one each char....Not logged on....

haha that girl is right the same things happened to me twice... waiting right now for the current issue to resolve with the id error. I'm sure its a glitch... they might be fixing it currently right now btws... check the update msg on the site.

Just wanted you all to know...i am ok now...i can login.What i did is the following:

I went and changed my password...in Nexon...then i logged in and it let me all the way in....so it worked.Now i am not sure if THEY fixed it...or if it was me changing my password...but it worked.

Your getting hacked atm. Keep trying so when they log off hopefully they didn't change your pass so you can.
