Everything you need is already in the game. There's a quest helper on your map (press M). Follow it to where you need to go.

Don't bother buying any guides, maps, supposed cheats, etc, because they are all SCAMS. Either they are fake or they just state the obvious and are a waste of money. There are plenty of free maps and guides out there, along with websites dedicated to things like this. Also, while it may seem like the opposite, not all of trade chat is full of a**holes and S.O.Bs. Feel free to ask around. There are MANY different ways to go about playing the game and none are better than others or even the right way. Just find your own, everyone starts out as confused as you and they learned.

The quest givers do a pretty good job of leading you through the game. Just follow the yellow arrow in your minimap to get to where you need to go next. In the cities the gaurds can tell you where things are and mark them on your map. Everything you need really is in the game already. Wowhead.com and thottbot.com are your friends. Learn how to use these sights.

Try looking online. There are tons of free guides for beginning players that will give you a better idea of how to play WoW.
