Im doing a free trial. Starting at 5Pm yesterday till11. I dled the trial. But every time I try to install it between 8% and 46% I get a message that says the installation failed. Becasue of a possible corrupted common.mpq. I know that its not the hard drives problem because i tried it ibn two different ones. I think its because it mey have taken so long for the trial to dl, that part of it was corrupted.

Actually Blizzard at blizzard. com and worldofwarcraft.com made a post about anyone downloading the trial version (from their site at least) :

The streaming trial client, which allows trial users fast access to the trial version of World of Warcraft, will be temporarily unavailable while we prepare for our next major content update, "Echoes of Doom." Trial users can continue playing World of Warcraft by downloading the full trial client here: [PC] [MAC]. Streaming trials will be brought back online within a few days of Echoes of Doom’s release, and we will provide further updates as they become available. Please visit our Technical Support forum for additional information. You can upgrade your account to a full version at any time. Just purchase and install the retail version of the game (available at most software and video game retailers), then enter the provided Authentication Key at our online Account Management service to upgrade your account. After you upgrade you will still be able to play the character you create during this trial. For details about the trial version client, refer to our Trial Account FAQ.

If you need to just go to the site I posted and the title of the post is 'Attention Trial Account Players – Important Notice'

Im not really sure about Vista, since I dont use it, but I know when files within Mac OS X cannot be renamed, its due to permissions within the OS. Try logging in as Admin user if your not already, or install WOW as admin user, that may fix the issue.
