Is Counter strike 1.6 the same as counter strike source.?

Question

My friend wants to vs me in counter strike. I ask him which one, and he keeps tellign me counter strike 1.6. I don''t even know if that exists. I only found 2 counter strikes in stores: Counter Strike:Condition Zero OR Counter Strike Source.
Which one is it.

None of them, Counter Strike: Condition Zero is the closest to Counter Strike 1.6...

Counter Strike: Condition Zero is based on the gold source engine, and so do Counter Strike 1.6 so there is a possibility that you can play with him trough Counter Strike: Condition Zero, anyway, you cant play with him trough Counter Strike: Source because it uses the 'normal' source engine...



You can download Counter Strike 1.6 hacked from the Internet, just search in google...



(The difference between source and gold-source is:

Gold-source - Uses Half-Life 11 to run.

Source - Uses Half-Life 2 to run.)



Oh, and i noticed something weird, you cant play multiplayer from cracked to real, so ask you're Friend if he has cracked first :D

Its none of them. Counter-Strike 1.6 is the mod for the original Half-Life, which is kinda hard to find in stores now. You can buy it off Steam though, and pay online.

Condition Zero is 1.6 with offline bots and a campaign mode added. As far as online play is concerned, there is no difference between Condition Zero and 1.6.

Theyre not the same what so ever.If you want a free version of CS 1.6 i suggest checking out the gg-game.com forums they have a tutorial on how to get CS 1.6 for free.
