Question:
Sims 3 takes forever and a day to load!?

So recently, I've been getting sick of how long Sims 3 takes to load sometimes, because it feels like an eternity (probably 10 minutes on a good day, but longer than that usually). I do have a bunch of different saved games, I have 3 expansion packs, and I have a boatload of custom content. Is there a way I can make my game load faster without deleting an EP or any CC? Plus, is it normal for the game to take much longer to load when traveling to the other countries within the game? Thanks!

It's probably the boatload of cc you have that is really slowing it down. Because it is an open world, when it loads, it loads Everything. You can clear the caches, which may help somewhat, but it will slow it down the first time it loads because it has to create new cache files:

If you don't have it yet, you might want to get the NRaas Overwatch mod. This corrects and clears a lot of things in the game that can build up but aren't needed. Just make sure you get the version that matches your patch level:

Other than that, there's not too much you can do if you want to keep all your cc. The more you add to the game (EP's or cc) the longer it will take to load. Don't keep save games you no longer use, keep the Sims inventories clear, and use smaller houses without excessive decorations or yard plants to help it not have to load so much.

That's about it. Good Luck!

Put an SSD in your pc and re-install The Sims 3 on it.

Depends on your rig, if you have a **** rig, it will take forever to load.
