Should I go for a better kd or wl ?

Background info

Black ops was my first cod my kd on on that was about 0.70 at prestige 5 now I'm it's at 1.46 at prestige 15, my wl stayed at below 0.40 for the entire time.

Now mw3, I'm at prestige 2 and my kd is 1.59 and wl is 1.25, at non prestige my kd was 1.89 and wl at 0.60.

So what should I do go for the kd or wl ?
And I'm in a clan and I'm the objective player and when your only going for the objective it's hard to get your kd going up it just hovers at 1.58-1.62, but my wl is going up steadily

I'd say kd, because it goes up when you have more kills. Each game type revolves around kills, especially Tdm and kill confirmed. So in theory, by getting kills you are improving your wl by keeping the enemy down and scoring objectives. When you have a heavy killing team player, it helps because domination flags and stuff are easier to capture when you have support from that slayer role.

I'm an objective player myself, but that doesn't mean I just go for the objective only. I like to be well-rounded and play depending on how the situation presents itself. Sometimes killing more people to buy my teammates more time is more important than if I was further away from some objective and running back to help secure a flag or something. Personally, I'd say I am more of a support person than anything and just change roles accordingly. Just because one person may be a slayer doesn't mean, oh I'm just going to kill and not run flag, each person should do their part and be rounded to a certain degree. So why not just go for a better K/D and W/L? The most important thing to remember though, it's just a game and the important thing to ask yourself is are you having fun? I don't go into a match thinking about K/D or W/L, I just play to have fun.

Screw stats in CoD. People rage quit so much that no one even cares about the win/loss. Just have fun, if you can even have fun in such a sh*tty shooter.
