Opening a Cab file

If you're using Windows XP or Windows Vista, then your operating system has built-in support for opening Cab files. They are described as "Cabinet files." Just double-click on a Cab file and it will open in Explorer, just like a folder. However, if you right-click on items in a cabinet file, you won't see all the same options you'd see for a file in a normal folder. This shows that it is not a real folder.

If you're using Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT or Windows 2000 then you'll need an archive manager application to open Cab files. If you use Windows XP or Windows Vista, you'll still need an archive manager if you want to be able to create Cab file archives.

You can get the latest version of Winrar here: http://bit.ly/1o0M15D

I like Winrar because it's a very good program to compress/decompress files in many different formats. You could also use other programs like 7zip or winzip for the same purpose but I think Winrar is the best option avalable. The funcionalities are pretty much the same for each program (you basically do everything with a simple right-click of your mouse) but Winrar is by far the best option.

The things I like about winrar is that it opens a bunch of compressed formats: .zip, .rar, .7z / 7zip, .iso, .tar, .jar etc. (much more than the other programs) and that it's 100% (trial period never expired so you can use it for free with no limitations)

These are the reasons why I recommend Winrar.

Well

You can get Winrar for free here http://bit.ly/1p3PbpY

The best program to decompress files is Winrar, you can unzip all kind of files!(.zip, .rar, .7z, .iso, .tar, .jar, .cab, .gz, .ace, .uue, .bz2, etc...)

Best of luck!
