The dark brotherhood in skyrim?

I have tried to find people to tell me about the dark brotherhood and even when I talked to idesa sadri and she told me about the cursed child, I still didn't learn about the dark brotherhood, is this a bug or am I just doing something wrong?

Okay, So when you go to Windhelm for the first time, if you go right down the path, you find a woman talking to a child underneath the arch of Aretino's house. Talking to them should point you in the direction of the quest. However if you already did this and can't remember or something. Just go into Arentino's house. Then complete his quest. (By killing Grelod the Kind in Riften). After that go back to Aretino and collect your reward. After that go to an inn or anywhere "safe" and go to sleep. You will wake up in the capable hands of Astrid and so will begin your time with the Brotherhood. Goodluck!

Do the quest with the child trying to hire the brotherhood and then you shall be contacted after completing the quest and sleeping in a bed like a hotel or home you own by the sexy assassin Astrid.

It just takes patience. You just have to keep talking to people (try local bartenders) until you get a tip about Aventus Aretino in Windhelm. After completing his quest, you'll have to wait some more for a courier to deliver you a letter, and then sleep after reading it.

If you spoke to the "Cursed Child", you should know that you have to kill the ***** who owns the Foster home in Riften (I forgot her name, it was (something) The Kind). Once you've done that, you return to him and tell him tht it is done, then you go sleep at any Inn or at Breezehome.
