Halo 3 level 4 Scarib Help?

Question

I am on level 4 of Halo 3. I've beaten the 1st two parts, killed the brutes, taken the ghost, brought down the scarib and got ontop/inside. When I get on it the general keeps saying "Find the weak spot, take it out at the power core, you'll know it when you see it". Where in hell do I shoot it??? I've thrown grenades all over that beast and cant figure out how to kill it to finish the damn level.

There is a room within the Scarab that has a blue object that looks similar to a shield. Fire away at it. It will eventually turn red and then break. Once it's broken, run out of the Scarab and give yourself some distance before it explodes.

okay get on the ship head for the back of the ship there shuld be a big blue shield looking thing aim at the center of it and unload it will braek dow then it will be destroyed thing is after your done GET OFF THE SHIP you will die

If you can get under it or close shoot its legs around the knees. it will eventually fall and you can board it.

then just shoot the blue circle until red.

Theres ways of doing it from a distance without boarding.

But thats a way to do it.

its in the middle second floor in the middle hall when u shoot it , it becomes red thats when u hear sirens so u use your parachute and jump off.
