Farm stratholme as a tank.

i do this and sell all the greens on the AH and essence of undeath etc.. apart form Grey's, and it takes me about 1 hour to fully solo it (pala tank)

makes me about 300g an hour (essentially)

Also get auctioneer and let it scan the AH and post items for you.

a great post was on our server forums yesterday that explained it all

dailies = profit

professions = hobby / fun

on any given day i make around 300-400g doing dailies, and i'm not even at 25/25 dailies done, usually when i do all 25, i get closer to 500g a day

in addition to selling all the items that drop during these quests, and disenchanting all the greens/blues that drop and selling those on AH, you can make a fortune

and myself hasn't even begun to crack the surface of making gold, one tried and true techniques is playing the AH

another great quote "Would you pay 10g for a Mana Agate?" "I wouldn't, but many others will"

Professions help as far as selling mats for stuff people need

occasionally i go out and fish, or collect skins, or just general mats that people need (like mats for mana potions or whatnot) and sell em all on the AH

Ignore "Guy", he has no idea what he's talking about. I can easily make about 800-900g a day simply by farming. It's repetitive and often boring, but if you put in the time every once in a while, you'll never have to worry about being short on cash. Here's my strategy at lvl 80:

I am a miner and skinner, with both skills maxed-out. First, I fly from Dalaran to the Howling Fjord. I then kill Shoveltusks until I have 100 Shoveltusk Flanks. This usually takes about an hour and I'll also get 60 or so Borean Leather and 2 or 3 Arctic Furs along with 20 or so Cobalt ore and random gems from veins I happen to run across.

Once I have my 100 flanks, I fly to Sholazar basin. I do big circles around the outside of the map, with little detours around the rock pillars that dot the area. I keep doing circles until I have 100 Saronite ore. This usually takes about about two hours, depending on how much competition I have and whether or not I have to fight Allies over ore nodes. While I'm doing this, I stop to kill the three large groups of white apes every time I come to that area on the map. By skinning the apes I get myself another 60 or so Borean Leather and possibly another Arctic Fur or two. I'll also find a couple of Titanium Ore nodes in the process, and get maybe 6-10 Titanium Ore, along with all the random gems and primals you get from mining..

Once I have my 100 Saronite, I fly to K-3 in the Storm Peaks. I run to the cave just north of the FP and kill spiders until I have 40 Spider Silk and another 60 Borean Leather. About another hour to an hour and a half. I then fly back to Dalaran and port to Orgrimar and hit the AH:

100 Shoveltusk Flank at 20-30g per 20 stack = ~125g

180 Borean Leather at 8-12g per 20 stack = ~90g

20 Cobalt Ore at 40-60g per 20 stack = ~50g

4 Arctic Furs at 35-45g each = ~160g

100 Saronite Ore at 20-30g per 20 stack = ~125g

40 spider silk at 80g per 20 stack = 160g

That's ~710 gold right there, not counting any of the trash items I sell to vendors, green and blue items I find, gems or primal earth/shadows, etc.

Sell whatever you can on auction house then vendor all the trash items. pick up two gathering professions like mining and herbalism and sell everything you collect.

dont listen to guy.

many people play the AH very well and can make ALOT of gold every day.

i have a friend who made about 5-6k in one day once. mainly because he got lucky and had a whole bunch of stuff sell. (he played the AH)

i myself can make about 500-1000 a day if i put in the effort of farming crap (ore, meat, leather, etc) and selling them on the AH (which i dont do unless i need the extra cash)

running heroics for gold is not even close to a good source of gold.

if you want the money you have to work for it...simple as that.

The World of Warcraft economy doesn't work like that. There is no fixed price on any of the tradable item. For example, I remember when Inscription first came out, the value of low level herbs went through the roof. Now it's back to pre-WotLK prices. AND, there is nothing to stop other players from crashing the price of the items to the point where it becomes better to sell the item to a NPC vendor. There is a constant price war in the Auction House, duping items actually lowers the value of the duped items. Don't cheat in the game. There is no point in doing so and it shows an unhealthy preoccupation with the game. If you ever felt the need to cheat or even to buy gold in WoW, please quit and get counseling.

The guy that doubts you can make over a thousand gold a day is probably like any other scrub that tries to make gold the hard way.

Let me rephrase that, making gold any way is hard. You won't find a legit way to make gold that is easy.

Now that you know it isn't easy to make gold, you want to go for the most efficient way to make gold.

Here are three ways I make 1000g+ a day without playing for more than a couple hours.

1. Get two gather professions. They are free to level and if you choose mining and herbalism (the two money makers) you can make a lot of gold while just leveling them. There is potential to make gold in production professions but they cost more money to level than you would make any time soon.

Go unholy spec so your mount is 20% faster and just chase down nodes and herbs.

2. At level 80, go back and do old quest lines. You'll get 10-15g per turn-in and they take very little effort to complete. It might feel like grinding but you can also gain rep and work towards achievements which involve finishing quests in specific zones. You could spend a couple hours questing and make 500g easily, both from gold rewards and from selling quest reward items.

3. Auto-loot everything that ever drops and use AutoprofitX (or a similar addon that sells grey items automatically to vendors).

If you have an addon that shows vendor values for any item in the game, you will notice that grey items that drop in raids often sell for a gold each or more. Don't ever leave grey items behind! Especially weapons. They can sell for 5-7g each.

These three ways are the no-brainer ways to make gold. By just implementing these strategies into your normal gameplay, you will notice a big boost in your gold stash.

Another way to make gold easily is to get Auctioneer addon and browse the AH for items that are below 50% PCT and purchase them, then post them for 70-80% PCT (as long as you're still below the lowest price).

One last tip: ALWAYS post auctions below the lowest price. It doesn't matter what it is. By the time the more expensive item sells you will be already on your way to making your next small fortune. Low prices sell fast always.

The lower the price the lower the PCT is, and the faster people will buy it up.

Dailies should be your #1 source of gold, maybe not as profitable as straight out farming, but far less tedious. You can easily make several hundred gold a day just on dailies. I would start with the tournament dailies in Icecrown, it takes a few days to open up all the quests but once they are you'll be making around 150g for maybe 30 min of work. You can also go back and do the quests you missed your 1st time through NR, in lieu of xp they award extra gold, and the rewards can be vendored for a nice additional profit.

Professions are also a good source of income, particularly gathering professions like mining, herbalism and skinning. High level food from cooking skills sells remarkably well too (combine this with skinning for extra profits). Cloth also tends to sell well, especially the runecloth and mageweave. Farming the high level instances from o.g. wow will net you a tidy sum in cloth alone, with greens and blues to sell as a nice bonus.

If you don't have one, I would advise creating a banker alt, that way once you fill your bags all you have to do is drop everything in the nearest mail box, that way you don't have to worry so much about where you're farming and whether or not your hearth is on cooldown.

Don't sweat it, resist the urge to spend your gold on non-essential things and your gold supplies will grow.

Do daily quests. The argent tournament gives like 9 or so, once you can do the champion quests. They each pay 13g or so. Plus the 4 champion quests allow you to choose a sack of gold as a reward, for an additional 10g. That's like 150-170g in like 45 minutes or so, as two of them take you down to the citadel. Then move on to the Sons of Hodir for their dailies. I think they offer 6 or so and also pay 13-16g each. It is slow but adds up. After you have done some dailies, you could farm mats and sell in the ah. Depending on your professions, you will find different places to farm. I used to solo the level 60 Stratholme and sell everything or take a friend and have them DE everything and sell the mats. Those enchanting mats still sell but not as well as they used to. At 80, regardless of spec a DK should be able to solo it. Plus, you could get Baron Rivendare's deathcharger if you get lucky in there. I used to have the Baron run down to about 18 minutes at level 70. I'm sure I could do it faster at 80.

Have not had a lot of time with this game, but trust me, anyone who "says" they make that much, is a liar and if its from some web site, its a scam, it is physically impossible to make that much alone, no one could be that fast in a day, the game will not allow it in any way.

Well, a slow but rewarding way, the way I did it, was just make armor and either sell it to new players for cheap, or sell it back to the shops, its boring and it takes a good armor skill or whatever, but it did bring in (at low levels) about 3 gold, I was just a low leveled night elf at the time, so that little bit of money did really help, if you have a higher level, you could bring in a lot more money then I could.

Use the skills within the game, mining, crafting, tailoring or finding rare items people really want, that usually works in all games.

Good luck!

Your gear isnt really all that important until 80 anyway so keep out of the AH. sell as much as you can. Hang onto food/drinks so you dont have to buy them. Quest and unlock the northrend dailes in each land.. these are fast, easy and they pay pretty decent. You can actually set up a route that will take you about an hour each day. I make about 150-325 a day in dailes, if I do them all its the max. Do all 25 that you can do, them sell the junk that drops from whatever you kill. There is no 'easy' way to make gold.

Gear is tempting to buy, but the heroic rares and epics are better far better than what you will get on the AH. Then, when you are geared enough start running 10m naxx and the other raids. KEEP YOUR MONEY... send it to an alt toon thats made ONLY for keeping things away from you.. a bank toon.

bro the best way is to give hand jobs for 20 gold a pop. every one from horde and alliance will come to get one.

No the best way is yes what they say. The AH is like ebay for wow. U can get cheap crap that people like me put up to get rid of and sell it for a higher price. And every one wins with this system. I get my money and you make money off of my stuff. How can u go wrong with that? You can't! And the best thing is if you go to TB it's like a 30 sec walk to the AH so I can play the AH when in a long cue for BG or when your gonna raid in 30 min and u don't have nothing better to do expt looking at some night elf porn.

Ps um that guy is a joke. I can make 800 and still have time to go out to have a life. Simple dailies make about 10-25 g. the trash from them will give you about 5-50g times that about 10-25 times and then you got 100-250 with the 50-1250g will make a grand total of 150-1500 in a day of daily farming. And if u got a gathering skill thats more money in pocket. Mix with some blue or purple that u might stumble upon thats a grip of gold. And if u run a lower instance and solo it you might get 20-50 gold in a hour. But I'm not gonna waste my time doing that.

You could do the daily quests on the Isle of Quel'danas, or use a profession such as Leather working to sell mats on the auction house. You can make anywhere from 100 to 200 G a day selling stuff.

Good luck!

quest hard and never buy from the auction house... but try to sell a much a realistically possible there... collect stuff that you can get others to be too lazy to get themselves - like cloths, herbs, ores and bars - it doesn't need to be of the highest lvl either.... mageweave seems hard for ME to find.... etc,
