How can I get my mind off wanting to play WoW?

I was heavily addicted to the game for 2 coming on 3 years but kicked the habit when I was overcome with worry following my GCSEs (I ended up doing good) however after quitting It felt good. I left behind alot of friendships but I looked at it for the best.

I have been "clean" for 2 months or so now and didn't really have any problems upto about a week ago. It is all I seem to think about, I am regularly visiting MMO-Champion for the latest news.

I never wanna go back, I always seemed on edge when I was playing and overly aggressive to anyone around me. I seemed to have mellowed out and find it alot easier to talk to people.

I don't wanna play but I have a craving, I start college on Monday =|

I am not hating on any WoW players, its a fun game and all but I think it can become an addiction easy (I would log on for hours and just jump around doing nothing, the more I think about it the more angry I get that I wasted so much time.)

lol I actually thought you were my boyfriend but then realised the age was wrong and hes still playing.

Good for you.

Your lifes so much more open now than it was before. Try going out instead of playing WoW or doing something constructive such as writing out a list of things to do and then working through them. Call up a mate when you want to play and arrange to do something with them instead.

Its a habit that can take over your life.

Good luck.

Well, you could just uninstall the game.. I mean, that's kind of the only solution to ultimately stop yourself from playing it. You could just hide it in one of your folders and have something else distracting in a folder Before it.
