why wont 'Sims 2 Double Deluxe' install???

Question

I bought the game, and then plopped it into my disc player, and my computer wont install. I Have windows xp. Every other computer disc (like zoo tycoon or roller coaster tycoon) gets read perfectly, and gets run. but my computer wont read the sims disc. please help me cuz target wont let me return it with my money back.

are you sure your pc has a dvd rom drive ?

the sims 2 double deluxe comes ona dvd and if you dont have a dvd rom drive its no smal wonder it wont read it

have you downloaded the normal sims 2? cause you need to do that first, because double deluxe may be an attachment; which would lead to non installation.

Ok, my thinking is that it might be a system requirements problem. Is your computer good enough, go to this site and check your processor and graphics card. more info on why it wont install and what messages it gives you would help too.
