I am about to level to 76 as a demonology warlock. The stats on my level 70 gear is still better than any gear I can get as a level 76. Granted the armor is not as high, but all the other stats are still higher. I have checked wowhead and thottbot for upgrades. I just dont see anything I would call an upgrade. Is this only for cloth or does mail, plate and leather have the same issues?

If you're in Epic gear from Sunwell and Black Temple, it would serve you well into the high 70s; and with SSC and Hyjal Epic gear to your mid-70s. This is the same for all classes.

Meanwhile you can check out the following loot list for Warlocks broken down by levels, zones and quests to help you narrow your search for suitable upgrades as you progress to 80:

Gear wise there are upgrades in some of the instances, but if your gear was considered good at 70 then you most likely wont get many upgrades until 79-80. Blizzard didn't do the same thing they did last time. not as much inflation in gear as there was between epics at 60 and greens in outland

70 to 76 not much better gear...79 and 80 the best gear you'll get
