Which Pokémon game should I get?
It's me.

Hey there!

I've decided to buy myself a Nintendo 3DS and start off with one of my childhood favourites, Pokémon.
I'm choosing either Pokémon White or Heart Gold, since I like the version-specific Pokémon more here than in Black and Soul Silver. I'm very familiar with Johto and I like the idea of 3rd and 4th gen Pokémon in it very much and there is stuff in it which wasn't included in the old G/S/C. I'm not familiar with almost any of the 5th gen Pokémon and the Unova region at all, so I guess the surprise should be bigger if it's really that good how some people say it. So I actually have to choose between one of them(I COULD choose both, but you'll see why in the bottom section of my question), either White or Heart Gold. Which one would you prefer in my position and why? Pros, cons? Are the 5th gen Pokémon any good? Are there any new evolutions for older Pokémon in the newer games(I already know some like Magmortar though)?

BUT, I could choose both games, but there's a little twist in it. It won't be a Nintendo 3DS then, it will be a Nintendo DSi Pokémon White bundle(so it's basically a special design on the DSi which is based on Reshiram and the other legendary I forgot the name of, it includes a case and of course, Pokémon White), + Pokémon Heart Gold, since the DSi is cheaper than the 3DS of course. If you have any idea about which DS I should get, please tell me also. :)

I'm also very worried that there will be 3DS-specific Pokémon games in the future, so yeah...

Thanks for the answers I'll be hopefuly getting. :D

First off, definitely get the 3DS just so you have your bases covered for future games.

As for which pokemon game, I'm not much of a pokemon player, but my friend is and he loves Black/White. He enjoyed working from what he says "is essentially from scratch, not knowing anything'.

Hi, i had the exact same question as you but not on yahoo answers. a solid reason for getting a 3ds is that there definitely will be 3ds only games the first one is mario kart 7 for 3ds. the 3ds also has many features and now costs 100 dollars less. as for the pokemon game i recommend the pokemon ranger guardian signs because i have both white and heart gold and they both get extremely boring upon completion of the game, really boring but pokemon ranger doesn't get as boring but if you really white or heart gold i say get heart gold because there is 16 gym leaders (because you travel to 2 different regions, hoenne and kanto i think) and more features with the poke walker white is fun but it gets the most boring after beating the game but has alot of features, white and black are one of those game where you just leave them laying around in your room after beating them. heart gold with the poke walker is like short period of endless fun. if youwhant a good pokemon game a strongly rerecommend pokemon ranger with a 3ds ( if you get a 3ds be sure to get netflix because soon it'll get 3d movies and that is something you dont whant to miss

Well, I personally would recommend heart gold. Heres why. I am not at all familiar with the new Pokemon because I feel like the Unova region Pokemon suck compared to all other regions. I don't watch the new show because the new ones look so stupid in my opinion. Plus, my cousins have black/white, and I personally hate the graphics on it. You might not though. Plus I have heart gold myself and I love it so...yea.

quite, the impressive status is desperate via the Pokemon's "character fee", and there is exactly a one in 8,192 danger of the character values corresponding in a definite thank you to make the Pokemon different coloured. some people bypass by each and each game and not in any respect come upon a impressive, mutually as others play for an hour and get 5. some people "chain" Pokemon on the PokeRadar to locate shinies, too. impressive Pokemon are in basic terms latest in G/S/C, R/S/E/FR/LG, and D/P. The shinies in G/S/C have been desperate via their stats (IVs), yet in the later variations they replaced it to the character fee equipment. Shinies are very useful between Pokemon creditors which includes myself, so in case you come upon one i might propose you seize it.
