if i have wow classic installed... does the classic disks also download the expansions off the website?

when i start my wow classic download i get all the way through it then it updates for the wrath of lich king i think.... is this right... i bought wow classic but i am also getting the other expansions from the site for free?

You're getting the vanilla WoW parts of the expansion content. I.E. the new Stormwind, ferry docks, etc. But you can't go to Outland or Northrend and you can only reach level 60, etc.

A large amount of the content needs to be downloaded to your machine for world-wide changes (like talent tree alterations) and the models for the new gear (that other players will be wearing), however, you will not be able to access the expansion content yourself without purchasing the expansions seperately.

Yes and no.
wehn you first paly the game it will install patch updates that Force you to play with the 'current' set up and rules.
dunno about the content, though i bought mine as the game was still a game and not the compelte crapfest it has become do to the pre Catcaclysm patch.

To obtain content from the expansions, you'll most likely have to pay extra.

It updates, but you can't play the expansions. You have to buy BC, WotLK, and soon, Cata, to be able to play the content.
