I'm a Level 100 enchanter. There is a legendary option that'll reset my enchanting skill to 15 if I press it. What is the benefit of doing this?

As you see, it does reset your skill back to 15, but it also refunds all of the perk points that you have spent in that skill, as well as being able to level the skill up over again. It does not remove what the skill contributes to your level when you reset it, it even allows you to continue leveling up further. I do not know if does allow you to get more perk points, especially since your level is technically endless with this new function.

before they added that in, there was a max level, once everything reached 100. now you can level infinitely by legendarying all your skills to get infinite skill points. you'll be refunded the skill points in the tree you make legendary.
