I have had a few PC games that are crashing once the game enters full-screen mode. Need For Speed Most Wanted and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare are two of them. This problem didn't begin until recently and I have contact the PC and Video Card's Tech Support to no help thus far. Has anyone had this happen or know how to solve this problem?

I am running a 2.7Ghz Intel Celeron with 512MB RAM, 128MB ATI Video Card, Creative Sound Blaster Sound Card.

let's see....it could be that your processor can't handle those two games (i had a problem with that with my non-supported dual core CPU) but it's most likely your graphics card. make sure that it supports all of the main features like Hardware Transform & Lighting, VS/PS, etc... i've had problems with my dad's gateway media center compy because they misadvertised the video card, and it had the same problem......crashed when it went into full screen.

you sound card shouldn't make a difference at all...not bad setup.

you need a more RAM memory... because i remember i saw the game GHOST RECON: Advanced Warefare and the minimum requirements listed the you needed for the least 1GB of RAM (becuse it also said you needed atleast a 128MB graphics card so you go that cleared out)

as for the NFS: Most Wanted, i think you need to lower your resolution to be able to run it for the least...

you never encounter these problems again i've recomend buying atleast a 1GB RAM DRR card and also a 256 ATI RADEON 9600 series or 9250 (these are byFAR the cheappest 256MB ATI graphics cards out there and work really great)

There is also software that you can use to check the video card's capabilities. FutureMark is a good one but for a 128Mb card i would use 3D Mark (an older version) Hope this helps. You can get either of them here http://www.futuremark.com/download/

Good luck ;)
