Okay, the problem is, after installing my Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne on my Windows 7 beta, 7000build. I can run War3.exe after the installation. When I restarted my computer, the problem starts here.

Every time I open my War3, It minimizes on my task bar. When I click it again, it maximizes for around 1 second then minimizes again. I know its running fine because I can hear the sounds of the program and I can see the menu for 1 second.

I'm wondering if this is fixable. I search the internet for similar problem but it looks like I'm the only one having this kind of problem.

Here is my Computer Specification.

I tried Updating my Video Card driver, I think I have the latest.

and NO Don't tell me that I should switch back to other Operating System because Windows 7 is still beta.

Thanks in advance whoever can fix this problem.

Tried system restore, no result.

Reinstalling my War3, it works. But, whenever I restart my computer, the problem appear again. I need to shutdown my computer.

I'm also beta-ing Windows7 (same build as yours) and War3 runs on it fine.

Just do this:

Right click on the shortcut or on the war3.exe file itself and click Properties.

Go to the Compatibility tab and disable "Desktop Composition". Problem solved. :)

You can't post html here. The only html you can use is 'entities', like

first of all your not talking about World of Warcraft which the previous posters couldn't grasp, but it is true u should move towards the final release and ditch beta, but something to try is to right click on war3 or the shortcut and go to compatibility tab and check off "Run this program in Compatibility Mode" and choose an older OS like Win XP SP2 and then check off run this program as administrator

It sounds like two things

1) The operating system : its still in beta dont forget. Most old games didnt work on vista until they had to fix it after release

2)Warcraft3 : its like the answer above but it could be because of the game itself , see if theres a patch or a quick fix for windows 7

Hello,

If you click here on the link you can download for free Warcraft III The Frozen Throne: http://j.mp/1uSFNgE

Amongst the novelties of this patch you can find some new maps for playing in the multiplayer mode, map changes, and fixes that could ruin the game experience.
