Battlefield 2: Special Forces Bug?

Recently bought Battlefield 2 Expansion (Special Forces)

I have downloaded the Full Patch 1.41.

In which order do I need to install them?
I have been to many game forums and game sites.
Many complaining about the Major Bugs in special forces than can prevent you from even playing the game.

So I downloaded the 1.41 Patch (530MB) to fix the 'Crash to Desktop' problem.

If anyone has BF2 Special Forces and has found a way to fix the Crash to desktop bug.
Please drop me a line
Or suggest a patch.

In which order should the patches be installed for Special Forces to work?

Clean Install of Battlefield 2
Install Special Forces
Then apply 1.41 Patch.

Would that fix the major bug stopping me from even playing BF2?

I open the game, The screen goes black, then crashes back to desktop.

Many users have had the same problem.
Its just EA released a game that isn't very stable.

you can also update your video card drivers because crashing to desktop is usually graphics related
