How to fix Battlefield 3 black screen ?

Question

battlefield 3 connects to server and starts the game but there is only a black screen with sound. How do i fix this ?
I tried updating and repair install but still wont work.

Full screen / Window mode has nothing to with this.



It appears this problem is triggered if you bought the "international version" of Battlefield 3 and install the recent patch 1.04. Like if its language was originally in Russian, German, Italian, etc. Fortunately, there's a fix for this one.

Hi, i have HP pavilion g6 2231tx with windows 8

i installed battlefield 3

whenever i start game , black screen coms up it sounds but no video

i have solution

so first right click in your Battlefield 3 icon and click on properties

and then go to run option you have Normal Window

Change it to Maximized window then click on apply and OK and then you can play your game

this is not official solution but you can play game

Switch from full screen to window mode. You can also try turning the other one off via your grpahics control panel.
