anyone know any info on this game? it looks amazing but i dont want it to end up like halo wars. i hate command and conquer style games. also is it a prequel? everyone is saying its confirmed but it looks like it could be from after the events of halo 3 since in halo books my friend told me there are 4 spartans. and in the halo reach trailer it says "we have spartans on the ground, were not going anywhere" clearly implies there are multiple spartans.

It is a prequel since at the beginning of the trailer, Reach is still unburned. During the siege of Reach by the Covenant (chronicled in the books "First Strike" and "Fall of Reach"), Reach was almost entirely glassed, like how it appears towards the end of the trailer. Also the statement about the multiple Spartans almost certainly points to a earlier point in the time line, since Master Chief was the only active Spartan free to move around the galaxy throughout most of the time line around Halo 3 (afterward, even he isn't a mobile force with the events depicted in the Legendary trailer of Halo 3). The rest of the Spartans were KIA, MIA, and there was a small group that happened to be sealed inside the Forerunner shield world of Onyx (as read in Ghosts of Onyx). This was happening around the time of the emergency shut down of the second halo in Halo 2, so it very highly unlikely that they could get free and make a stand against Covenant at the destroyed world of Reach, especially since most of the Covenant command structure was destroyed.
