World of Warcraft: leveling cooking...help?

I'm on the Horde side of WoW and I'm leveling cooking. I have been going through WoWhead and am noticing that more than 3/4 of the recipes that are one-sided are towards alliance! I may be reading the site incorrectly, as I'm really new to it, so if I'm not reading it out I'd like some help in the right direction.

Browsing through the recipes, on the upper right hand corner of WoWhead it specifies Side: ___ and most of them are Alliance, and/or vendor: sold by is green for A and red/non existent for H. I must have come across 12 or so recipes that are ONLY for Alliance and maybe 3 that are just for the Horde. I've always heard that Blizzard favors Alliance for some reason, and I wonder if this is reflecting on that bias, or perhaps I'm just being a noob and reading the site wrong.

Please help me out in the right direction, and don't be so harsh if I'm wrong. It's my first time leveling for WoW so I'm blindsightedly venturing into leveling my professions.
Thanks

If you want to wait, the Thanksgiving event basically gives you a free way to level cooking from 1 to 300 regardless of faction.

Otherwise, my suggestion is to level fishing and cooking together. There are numerous guides available. I'd stay away from anything that requires you to spend real life money.

I'd recommend: http://www.wowwiki.com/Powerlevel_cooking_and_fishing

If you don't want to level fishing with cooking, I'd check the goblin towns. You don't need every recipe, just enough to get you to the next skill level. I did it that way on my hunter.

Finally, if you can find a friendly alliance player, see if they'll be nice enough to pick up the Alliance recipes and transfer them to you over the goblin AH. I have never seen a cooking recipe that one side couldn't actually memorize and use. (Well, Thistle Tea being the exception, since that's rogue-only.) Since I play both sides, I'm frequently asked to help transfer things like this.

There are both alliance only recipes and horde only recipes, none of them are particularly relevant to leveling cooking, only for getting the achievement for recipes acquired.

If you're leveling cooking the easiest way to do it solo and gaurantee you'll have enough materials is to simultaneously level fishing. If you don't want to do fishing yet (I don't blame you) then I would recommend following a guide. The problem with leveling without fish is that you're often reduced to farming for meat for significant amounts of time or hoping it shows up on the AH. Usually this isn't too bad if you've been leveling cooking as you level your character and saved meat along the way but eventually you're going to have to farm or hit the AH without fishing.

Here's a site which I use to level professions. Never used the cooking one but all of their other guides have worked for me in the past quite.

It's not a scam site or anything like that.

Wow, i'm the two doing some thing incorrect or I even have extra of a life than a great form of the human beings posting. i could say that it has taken me around 6 months to point to 80. I in straight forward terms get to play approximately 2 hours a night because of the fact I paintings and characteristic 2 young babies. I additionally choose to play on my own because of the fact I even have run into too many human beings that choose help, yet are no longer prepared to paintings with you to get the seek accomplished. i think of a leveling handbook does not be very useful considering that there is no longer a particular thank you to end something. PVP takes a great form of studying a thank you to combat and shelter against the a number of training of characters. to no longer point out combating yet another participant is different than combating NPC's considering that human beings think of and react in a different way than a working laptop or workstation.
