Question:
My sims 3 seasons keeps freezing how can i stop this?

So i got sims 3 seasons for christmas,
And its was working fine for a couple of days,
Then it suddenly starts freezing after around 2-3 mins of gameplay and its quite annoying, because everything works fine except you cant move the cursor, and if it unfreezes, it will be fine but then when you are moving it around, the movement will start to stutter and you just cant control your mouse and will eventually freeze again for longer and wont work again after a long period of time. (its not my mouse because i replaced the batteries) and also when i press the home button on my keyboard, my actual screen will freeze aswell, (which means i cant use my computer at all until i restart it) and only my keyboard is working.
( please if you are going to answer make it easy to follow as im not a genius at the computer ;)
Thanks for any help :)

Can't be sure without knowing your specs, but it sounds like your computer does not meet the minimum requirements for the game and is struggling to run it. The minimum requirements tend to go up a little with each new expansion.

You said it was working fine for a couple days before this started happening, which would suggest that maybe you installed something else in that time? If so, try uninstalling the other thing. You should also patch the game if you haven't already. You may need to tone down the graphics settings a bit.

Only other help I can offer at this point would be to suggest turning off your background applications. To do this:

1. Press Windows Key + R to open the "Run" command line

2. Type in "msconfig" and click OK

3. Go to the "Services" tab of the window that opens

4. Put a check mark in the box next to "Hide all Microsoft services"

5. Click "Disable All"

6. Click OK. Your computer will prompt you to restart, do so.

7. Try the game again.

Same with mine. I looked everywhere for an answer. I have a mac though and supposedly it is not great for mac, even though they say it is.

Right now EA is working on a patch to fix this issue. I read this a couple days ago somewhere online. I am not playing the sims right now since it is so frustrating. Sometimes I can't even save my games.

My sims seasons kept freezing, but I fixed it, go into the sims 3 settings while your playing, you know the little ... At the bottom then go onto graphics and change all your settings to medium!:) mine now works perfectly although it freezes when I get thunder storms!:)

If it is a computer, computer are actually not meant for gaming, they warmth as much as quickly and it crashes your laptop costing lots to get it fastened. whether it is a computer it ought to nonetheless be heating up your laptop to lots in the adventure that your fan is broken or no longer working as quickly because it ought to. additionally in the adventure that your fan is clogged with airborne dirt and dirt the warmth won't be able to get away. the sole different ingredient i can think of of is your disk is scratched or your laptop does not have adequate reminiscence interior the confusing force to assist the sport.
