World Of Warcraft key binding?

I need to bind a few keys (specifically f1-f12), but when I go to do it in the key binding option, my computer overrides it (Such as if I go to press f3 it makes the screen brighter instead of binding) is there anything i can do to stop this?

I'm assuming you're on a laptop. It's going to vary by laptop, but usually you actually have to hold down a function key to convert the Fkey to laptop commands (such as screen brightness). Apparently on yours it's the other way around. If you want to post what kind of laptop you're running, with a model number preferably, I'm sure we can find out how to access your standard Fkeys with some googling.

im assumig you play on a mc? you can change the secondary function-key bindings in keyboard options (that is, if you press f1 it will actually press f1 instead of fn+f1)



(apps->system preferences -> keyboard -> check "use all f1-f12 as standard function keys")

it really is going to change it for all of your characters, I replaced my stream keys onto the arrow keys and don't have it any opposite direction....attempt it and also you'll see what I recommend, use left hand for stream and correct hand for mouse action..makes life SOOOOOO a lot less difficult
