You can use them to buy tickets for the prize drawings. There is usually a daily drawing, a weekly drawing, and a monthly drawing. The more tokens you have, the more tickets you can buy.

You can also use the tokens to buy stuff for your Pogo Mini. There are new backgrounds, clothes and goodies coming out all the time!

Here is all the information you need about Pogo Tokens it should answer any quetions you have about them.

Token Basics

What are tokens and how many do I have?

You can win tokens through a number of our games. These tokens have no monetary value, but can be converted into prize drawing tickets for Pogo.com's Daily, Weekly or Monthly prizes. The more tokens you win in our games, the more tickets you can enter in the drawings when you cash in.

To enter our prize drawings, click the Cash In button in any of our games that give out tokens. This will bring you to our Ticket Changer, where you can choose to enter your tokens into our prize drawings. (If you click Cash In by accident, you can leave the Ticket Changer without using any tokens, as long as you didn't actually cash any tokens in.)

To see how many tokens you have, you can enter any game with a jackpot and check your token balance in that game (it's almost always displayed very near the Jackpot amount for that game).

Which games have tokens? (i.e., In which games can I win tokens?)

On Pogo.com, there's a quick way to tell which games offer tokens. Just go to the 'Home' page, where you select a game, and check which games have jackpots listed next to their names. Those games also have tokens.

You can also gain tokens in certain Pogo to Go games and upload them to your Pogo.com account. For more details, check the individual games in the Pogo to Go portion of Pogo.com.

Can I use tokens on anything else besides entering drawings?

If you're a Club Pogo member, you can take your tokens to the Mini Mall and use them to get cool accessories of all kinds for your Pogo Mini.

Pogo Tokens cannot be used for game subscriptions, Premium Badge Albums, Guest Passes, or Pogo Merchandise

Do tokens ever expire?

You can cash in your tokens whenever you like. They carry over from month to month, so they'll be there when next month rolls around.

If I reformat or upgrade my computer, will I lose my tokens?

As far as the Pogo.com online games go, we store your tokens on the Pogo servers. So, you can reformat/reinstall or replace your computer all together and still be able to access your Pogo account with all your tokens, ratings, profile, friends list, etc.

Important Note for Pogo to Go Games:If you reformat your computer, you will need to upload any Pogo to Go tokens, or you will lose them when you reformat. Also, all your stats in the Pogo to Go game will be lost. (Note that this has no effect on your online tokens, badges, or stats, though.)

Once you've performed your computer maintenance or upgrade, just head to Pogo.com like you did on your old computer and log in like you always did. As long as you sign in with the correct account, all your tokens and other information will be intact.

My tokens have disappeared! What happened?

Usually, when someone notices a sudden loss of tokens, it's because they've accidentally logged into a different account that doesn't have as many tokens as the account they normally use. Make sure you're signed in under the correct screenname. If you need to switch names, just look on the main page for where it says: 'Welcome [screenname] (Not [screenname]? Sign In)'.

Click the link, and sign in, making sure you use the intended screenname (if you have multiple screennames, which some people do), and you should see your tokens again. If you don't, read our article about Pogo and Club Pogo Prizes.

Entering Drawings / "Cashing In" Tokens

When cashing in tokens for drawing entries, how does the exchange work? (Or, you cashed in and it appears to have taken too many tokens.)

Most of the time when someone thinks too many tokens have been taken on cash-in, it's due to confusion about the conversion rate.

When you cash in your tokens, each ticket you purchase to enter into the drawing costs 100 tokens.

For example, if you enter 100 tickets into a drawing, that will cost you 10,000 tokens:

100 tickets

@ 100 tokens per ticket

-----------------------

= 10,000 tokens

If you've allowed for the conversion rate and still feel that too many tokens were cashed in, please click the Contact Us tab, let us know, and we'll be happy to investigate. If you do this, please let us know that you've read this answer, and the approximate date/time when you cashed in and noticed the potential issue.

I converted tokens to enter a drawing. Can I get them back?

Once tokens are converted to tickets, we have no way to retrieve them. The tokens you win while playing our games are accumulated into one grand total, so if you cash them in anywhere on our site, then they are put into whichever drawing in which you entered them. Once that drawing has taken place, the tickets are gone for good. We're sorry for any confusion.

Can I transfer tokens from one screen name to another, or can I combine tokens across my accounts into one?

Unfortunately, you cannot transfer tokens between screen names. If you have lots of tokens scattered about different accounts, there's no way to combine them onto one member name. If you're no longer going to use an old account that has tokens on it, we suggest cashing in the tokens on the old account and putting them in a drawing. That way the tokens will at least give you a chance to win something, rather than just sitting there.

To access tokens on other screennames and cash them into a drawing, sign in under the other name (we don't disable accounts when you create a new one) and enter those tickets into the drawing. While you're there, make sure your e-mail address is correct, and then you can switch back to the new name and play away. Either way, you have a chance to win the prize if one of your tickets is entered into the drawing. To switch screennames, look for 'Welcome [screenname]. Not [screenname]? Sign in' at the top of the Pogo home page. Click the link and enter your old screenname and password.

Token Balance Errors or Anomalies

Why didn't I get all of the tokens that the game said I won?

Most of our games have a limit on the number of tokens you can earn over time; this limit is in place to help hinder cheating.

On occasion those who are not cheating may encounter these limits. If this happens to you, we can only suggest you take more time between games (maybe 10 to 60 seconds).

Why do I sometimes get my Jackpot Spinner tokens before the spinner is done?

When a game is over and a Jackpot Spin is earned, the game requests a spin result from the server. Once this request is received, the result is sent right back to the game. This normally takes less than a second or two. However, because the Spinner is animated and it takes a few seconds to stop, the Jackpot Spin result may update the token balance in the game and in the Who's Here list before you see it in the Jackpot Spinner. Depending on internet connectivity and the actual length of the spinner animation, the results may appear at the same time in the spinner, who's here list, and the game, or even in reverse order.

In these cases, the results of your Jackpot Spin are still random (and they are still recorded), the results just get processed in the wrong order.

I get a 'Checking Token Balance' error when I try to connect to a game.

This 'Checking Token Balance' error means that the room you're trying to play in is having trouble communicating with the server that keeps track of everyone's tokens and prizes. The error is there to prevent you from playing games in a room where we can't keep track of the tokens you win.

This type of issue is usually temporary. When it happens, we receive alerts about it, so we know that there's a problem and that it needs to be fixed. In the meantime, you may want to try other rooms in the same game, or close all your browser windows and reconnect to Pogo.com. Unfortunately, if that doesn't address it, you may need to try again in a little while once we have been able to respond to the issue.

think I've lost tokens (and didn't cash them in or lose them playing games). What should I do?

Please be aware (and reassured) that we do not know of any issues causing mass losses of tokens. Thus, we do not believe this to be a widespread issue. However, we do want to investigate issues regarding possible token loss. So, if you believe you have lost tokens, please go through the following steps when requesting assistance. This information is all necessary because we need it to investigate any reported losses.

We do not replace tokens lost during normal gameplay for any reason. Our higher-stakes games state this before you begin play. Please do not request token reimbursal as a result of normal game losses.

We do not replace token losses that we can't verify. So, if you believe you've lost tokens, please be really sure you've gone through the remaining items on this list and provided us with all the requested information.

Please be aware that in some games, like High Stakes Poker, if you get "kicked" or disconnected, and reconnect, that your token balance may seem to be what you started with less your "stake." For example, say you are playing in Super Rollers High Stakes Poker, and you are starting with 700,000 tokens. You stake 125,000 tokens, and get disconnected. You reconnect, only to see that your token balance is 575000. You should be aware that you didn't lose the 125,000 tokens, but they were simply re-staked for you. If you connect to a non-stake game, like Poppit or Word Whomp, your balance should appear to be 700,000 tokens (less any losses you had before you disconnected from High Stakes Poker).

If it appears that the tokens are genuinely gone, please submit the following information using the Contact Us tab above so that we can research the issue. We will not be able to research the issue or replace tokens if this information is not provided:

Lifetime Tokens and Lifetime Token Medals

What are Lifetime Tokens, and how are they different from my Tokens to Spend or to use for betting?

Club Pogo has two statistics to help you keep track of your tokens:

Tokens to Spend - This is how many tokens you have that can be cashed in. The number goes down when you cash tokens in.

Lifetime Tokens - This stat shows every token you've ever earned on Pogo. This is the true measure of how many tokens you've earned, because this doesn't subtract any tokens when you cash them in. This is what's displayed as part of your profile name now that you're a Club Pogo member.

Tokens to Spend and Lifetime tokens will go up and down with tokens won and tokens used for betting in the "Casino"-type games.

Cashing in Tokens or using Tokens to get Mini items will affect the Tokens to Spend number, but not the Lifetime Tokens.

Medals

You'll also notice that there's a small medal next to your token balance on the Winnings tab. As you earn more and more tokens, you'll reach "milestones" that we've set that award a cool medal. The more tokens you earn, the nicer medal you'll earn. This is our way of recognizing those people who spend the time and play the games to earn lots of tokens.

To see the milestones and medals you can earn, view your profile in a game room and click the Winnings tab. This will show all the medals available, how much you have to earn to get them, and where you are on the scale.

I got a message saying I got a new lifetime token icon/medal. What's that, and where is it?

Lifetime token icons are different from badges. Your lifetime token icon (or "jewel") is displayed by your token amount in the Who's Here list when you're in a room. As you earn more and more tokens, you'll reach "milestones" that we've set that award a cool medal. The more tokens you earn, the nicer medal you'll earn. This is our way of recognizing those people who spend the time and play the games to earn lots of tokens. To see the milestones and medals you can earn, view your profile in a game room and click on the 'winnings' tab. This will show all the medals available, how much you have to earn to get them, and where you are on the scale.

If I cash in my tokens, will I lose the lifetime medal I have now?

You will not lose the medal you have now. Cashing in your tokens doesn't subtract from your Lifetime tokens total, just your 'tokens to spend'. That's the major difference between the two statistics.Regardless of cash-ins or anything else, Lifetime tokens shows every token you've ever won on Pogo. It's the true measure of how good someone is at earning tokens.
