megaman fans/enthusiasts/no-it-alls! help me!?

Question

Ok, i have played and beat 1-8 and X1-X6 along with other games unimportant to these questions. I also no the X games are set hundreds of years in the future.
1. is this Megaman the old one, the old one rebuilt, or a new one with the same design.
2. where did bass go? he seemed all bad bass(pun) with his awesomeness.
3. i heard some of the bosses saying something about zero being maverick, so why does his first appearance have a good guy and a playable character?
4. where is protoman.
5. did willy really make zero? i mean, in the original it looked like he was 60 at least, and this is xx years in the future.
6. why did dr.light(in those power up thingies) seem like he was conversating with whoever opened it. why was he even there, he should be deceased(i know it's a hologram) so why gig he know and have systems for Megaman X.
7. is it really a megaMAN? cause i heard him(?) talking in one of the games and i coulda sworn the he was a she.

2. Bass disappears for an unknown reason.



3. Zero used to be a maverick, but later became good. There's a scene in X4 where Zero was a maverick and was defeated by Sigma who was a hunter at the time. In X5, Sigma wants to flood the world with viruses in order to awaken Zero's true self, which was a maverick.



4. Protoman disappears for an unknown reason.



5. Yes, he made Zero. Zero's first scene in X4 has him waking up to a guy who has Wily's unique hair and shape who proclaims that Zero is his masterpiece, implying that he was the creator. In Zero's ending in X5, he sees himself being built, and the man building him has a silouhette that's like Wily's. Also, during the scene in X4 when Zero was a maverick, Zero has a W in the gem in his head. In X2, Sigma says that Zero was the last of the doctor's creations.



6. It's not stated why. But I think that he transferred his mind into a network of capsules he spread across the world which contained power ups.



7. Both are definitely a HE. For X, In X4 you he has a girl sounding voice, but if you played X7, X8, and Command Mission, he has a man's voice. X4 had horrible voice acting, X8 had the best.



For Megaman, it's a guy because in one of the megaman's intro scenes (before the Press start), it shows him in boxers and he has no female parts. Don't let the voice acting fool you, cough Megaman 8 cough horrible voice acting cough cough.
