Skyrim: Masque of Clavicus Vile or Rueful Axe?

Question

This is that quest with Barbas the dog and the Daedric prince.

Well, the Masque gives you slightly better deals at shops and a speech bonus. The axe does Stamina damage.If you are aren't exactly the warrior/barbarian type, go for the mask. Otherwise, take the axe.



Also, I believe the Masque counts toward the two achievements/trophies relating to Daedric artifacts, but the axe does not.



Based on these choices choose whichever one you wish, and happy dragonslaying. :D

There are better weapons than the axe and if you are just using it for decorating the ebony mail with the masque of clavicus vile would look a lot better than the rueful axe in a weapon rack. (I got the Axe and don't use it)

The Axe is O-K for a 2-handed weapon and i'm pretty sure it has a unique magic bonus that comes with it.



I think i recall the mask having pretty good stats too though (i.e. price reducing bonus)

Only problem is, it's really stupid looking.

-it completely covers your head and has massive horns.

you want the mask. Its also one of the 8 masks needed to unlock...something special. i havent found all the masks yet so I dont know what they unlock
