Ok first go to the screen you first see when you log into your computer. Then in the corner is the start button press that and then (if your in vista) scroll down and find World Of Warcraft file (if not in vista find it). Then there will be a repair button press this and wait for Wow to find the problem file and it will repair after your done try Wow. It should work if not do as instructed reinstall or uninstall wow and wait for the pain in the @!# to download.

same exact thing happened to me. i ran repair.exe and it did absolutely nothing. so i uninstalled and reinstalled the game which was a waste of 5 hours because that did nothing either. it was only able to update to patch 3.3a which wasn't even to where i was before trying to download 3.3.5. so downloaded the patches from bigdownload.com and then ran them and the same error came up. then i tried calling the blizzard technical support number 1-949-955-1382 and it kept saying that the call could not go through so i don't know what to do. i can't log onto the forums either to post because it always comes up as server error. i hope this gets fixed soon.

You may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game.

And if that doesn't work, contact Blizzard technical support.

Oh, yeah. Delete the WTF folder. It's aptly named, because what the f*ck is it for if deleting it solves most of the problems? So get rid of that and try it again.

all of us is having some type of difficulty with the recent patch..I advise operating the fix application for wow. in case you run the wow fix application, I also advise you do the reset too. each and anytime you got and set up a patch from wow...turn off your anti-secret agent and anti-virus.

well like previously stated you could reinstall the game but that takes hours wat you could do is repair it. theres a program that's installed with warcraft that if you go to it it will repair everything in about 45 min max. If that doesn't work which it should then reinstall it

Okay, I had the same problem.

Go to "My Computer" and locate your C file (Local Disk).

Look for your WTF File and find the folder labeled "Cache".

Delete it.

Start up WoW and see if the patch downloads now. it should.

After you start up WoW, your Cache will start refreshed again, your addons and everything will still be there.
