alright. i have a lvl 70 palidin so time to listen. the new one in november.. theres no point waiting for it, its an expanstion, which means you have to have the previus expanstions, and the original game to play. here... this is a short list.

World of warcraft.

World of warcraft: the burning crusade.

World of warcraft: the wrath of the lich king.

you must buy and install them in order. and when your installing the main game, it will ask you "Set up you account now?" click yes and just set up an account while the games installing.. then when its all done... log on... make your character.. and the tooltips will help you with the rest.. GOOD LUCK!

Let me explain everything for you...even if you buy the new EXPANSION when it comes out in november you will still need to own the Burning Crusade Expansion and the Original game. To make an account you must go to worldofwarcraft.com and on the right hand side of the page there should be something there and to make a character you must download the game and once in the game you log in and create a character. Its probably going to cost 60$ total if your going to be both expansions and the original game and then remember its 15$ a month but the first month is included in the Original World of Warcraft. IF you decide that you dont wanna play WoW there is other games such as Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning its a very fun game i perfer the quests and pvp of Warhammer but i perfer World of Warcraft community and raiding. its really up to you if you want more information email me at

Hope i helped =D

Hey there, the best way to get started is to download the 10 day free trail of the world of warcraft (wow) site. you can download the game there which may take a while but saves buying the game. or use a friends copy which is totally legal. After that you can either but a copy yourself in which youll get another month free or just buy a months subscription online which costs about £8.99.

youll need the original wow game to play the one thats coming out soon is just an expansion just like the burning crusade was. making a character once you have the game is easy but beware YOU MIGHT GET ADDICTED!!!! :)

Look... you really don't want to play WoW. People there aren't very friendly and if you can't download the game client you more than likely will need help in the game with game play. When I first played and asked for assistance I was made fun of, how about you try another online game like City of Heroes, Two Moons, or even Final Fantasy Eleven? People are way more friendly there.

However if you want to play the game then go get the first disk, however those expansions will enhance your gaming experience so you may not want to miss that.

You have to buy the first one anyway and the new one is an expansion pack that goes along with the original. Then once you buy it you will set up an account name which is unchangeable so make sure you have a good name picked out and you will then create a password like you would with an e mail account. The first month is free and then you can pay month by month or in advance. If you know people who already play make sure to choose the "realm" that they play in because there are several different "realms". It's all pretty simple after that. Here is a site you can go to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/beginners/index.html

OK, here's mine step to step guide, but first some info.

World of Warcraft haves expansions, but you need always the previous expansion to play the next expansion. Example, to get from level 1 to level 60 you need to normal WoW, but for level 60-70 you need the Burning Crusade.

Step 1.

Buy World of Warcraft In Store, or search a trusted site on the internet

Step 2.

Install World of Warcraft with the cd's you bought

Step 3.

Go to www.wow-europe.com (don't know the one for us, google is your friend) and expand Account and press account creation. Fill in the form and your ready to play

Step 4.

Good luck with playing World of Warcraft

PS: World of Warcraft have a monthly fee. otherwise you can play for free,, but contact me then on e-mail

The new one that comes out in Nov is merely an expansion, so you will need to original game AND the previous expansion, The Burning Crusade, to play (the two usually come together in a box set). I would recommend getting to original now to familiarize yourself with it so that when Wrath of The Lich King comes in Nov you are ready for it.

Go to the WoW website and if you have a credit/debit card you can 'sign up' with that. If you don't, go to a game store and buy a 'card' to sign up (you'll need to get a new card once a month). It's easy after you've downloaded the game ... just follow the directions. You can have as many characters as you want, on different servers (realms). It's really very easy ... just go on line and follow directions.

I would say wait til next month for the expansion.

And when you do finally purchase WoW:TLK then you will need to sign in with your account that you should've (if not, then do so now) made from on the World of Warcraft website.

You have to buy the software.

You can buy it at Best Buy or any Gamestop. Places like Toys R Us and Wal * Mart and Target may sell it!

A new edition is coming out in November. So maybe wait until then?

Well, I can only say as much as if you plan on reaching the "top" or whatever, you better be playing a minimum of 12 hrs a day, otherwise forget about that, and will be stuck grinding forever.
