Warcraft the movie, a good or bad idea?

I went to Best Buy looking to buy a few DVDs and this trailer caught my attention, after watching it for a while I was ready to buy this dvd and ask the sale clerk what the name of this dvd. To my surprise I was watching trailer for Warcraft and not previews for a dvd. I was talking over with a co-worker of mine about the possibility that Warcraft would make a good movie. We went back and forward on the pros and cons of making it a movie. So I would like to know how many of you feel that Warcraft would make a good movie or not and why?

Well the online game branches off into so many quests and raids that they'll probably cut out a lot of stuff that was in the game from the movie leaving a lot of hard-core WOW fans disappointed like they did with the prince of persia game. So I suggest you see it but don't get your hopes up.

I would love to see a Warcraft movie. But there are soo many stories inside that lore that picking just one would be hard and if they try and squeeze too much in it'll just get confusing.



Like someone says above there are soo many different types of WoW players from the people who don't even read the quests and have no real interest in the story they just want there epix. To the people who follow the stories and take the time to listen and are interested in them and that the reason they play the game.



Which is the higher demographic? probably the people who don't follow the lore so get ready for a bad Warcraft film that will disapoint the avid WoW fan.

It sure won't make an artistic movie,but the Warcraft universe has enough lore to draw upon and a good storyline.IF THE MOVIE WILL BE MADE(Blizzard is talking about it since 2007) it will probably be a blockbuster,since somewhere around 90% of the 11 000 000 players of WoW(not counting illegal private servers) will watch it and many more will join.

It would be also an increase in the Warcraft awareness and make a good profit for the company,so i don't see any reasons why they won't make one.

It MIGHT make a good movie, but I don't think any *decent* film producer would want to make it. Movies based on video games have been failures, both financially and in quality.

It will be like the dungeon & dragon movies and the Mortal Kombat films and we know how those went....

If it was pure CGI like their cut scenes then it could be very good but live action actors would ruin it.

I think if it caught ur eye and u asked about it it must be good. I would love to see it
