Honor points are one of the new two PvP currencies introduced in Patch 4.0.1. They replace (the very similarly-named) Honor points, Arena points, and various other forms of currencies and tokens in use before that point. A higher level currency was also added called Conquest points to replace some higher level PvP tokens.
Honor point refers to points awarded by competing against enemy faction players that can be turned in for honor rewards, first introduced in Patch 2.0.1.
Earning Honor Points
Honor points are calculated instantly, with the awarded honor points being usable immediately by the player. Prior to Patch 2.4, Honor points were calculated and awarded once a day based on the PvP activities of the character; a player could have a maximum of 75000 honor points.
Honorable kills
An honorable kill (abbreviated HK) is the simplest method of earning honor points. Honorable Kills are gained by killing members of the opposite faction, the faction leaders, and bosses in PvP zones such as Vault of Archavon. If you kill an opposing player that is within 5 levels of you, you gain honor. The amount of honor you gain is based on your level and your target's level. You do not need to deliver the killing blow, nor do you even need to be in the same party. All members of a party will receive honor and an honorable kill if they are proximity to the kill.
You can spend honor in Horde: Hall of Legends located in Orgrimmar
Alliance: Champions Hall located in Storm Wind city.
