A little while ago i bought a R4 Upgrade revolution card for my Nintendo DS Lite.
After a while it did not work anymore, my DS started the card, but it always get stuck at "Loading".
So i went to download an R4ds Kernel, and i just threw it on my Sandisk 4gb folder, that is in my R4 upgrade card.
I really don't know anything about this stuff, so now if i put my card in my DS it says: "Menu?".

I pretty f*cked it up!
But does anyone knows how to reset a card, or get a package working for my card? So i can erase everything on my card and start from scratch?

Thanks in advantage

I don't know what an "R4 Upgrade" is (is it one of the R4 knock-offs?), but you're not supposed to put the R4 kernel into another card. Seeing that it's also called R4, it probably couldn't find the kernel it's supposed to have and hence the "Menu?". You should download the correct kernel for your card and put that in.

I suggest you look/ask around in GBAtemp (gbatemp.net). They have all the information you need on the forums. You might even find a better firmware to work with your card.

"menu" means the system didn't load right. You didn't "install" the file system correctly. It has to be on the first folder of the micro, which is the card itself. Also, you can't run 2 file systems.

You need to go to the website on the box, maybe written on the flashcart as well. Download the latest kernel and make sure it's for DS / DSlite. When you have it, backup your saves and roms, and completely wipe the micro sd. Then, put the kernel on the micro before doing anything else. After that, leave the folder that's there alone, and make sure you leave the ".dat" or w/e other files are there, outside the main folder. If your sandisk came with any folders preinstalled, delete them too.

There is also the possibility that the cart burned out, as they are known to. The original R4DS (with nothing in the title) and the R4i sdhc v1.4.1 works well too. When you buy a clone you have to do a lot of research to make sure it's not crap. You have a dslite, so the original r4 will run very well, and you can get it dirt cheap, say from realhotstuff.com, but the first r4 only works with 2gb or smaller sd cards.

Reset up your kernel again to have a try, maybe it can work again

I suggest you one site to buy R4i flash card for dsi with good quality and you can even ask them to set up your r4i cards correctly before shipping.that is ibuyvideogame.com
