Question:
I WANT World of Warcraft to be Addicting. But how?

Unlike most people out there, I actually WANT to be addicted to World of Warcraft, to occupy my time.

Unfortunately, every time I try to play I can't get past level 10 before quitting due to utter boredom. I get a quest, I do the quest I get the reward and I rinse and repeat until the end of time; it gets old - fast.

So what's the secret? What drives 8,000,000+ players to keep playing and have fun? I wish I knew, I truly do.

I'd even PAY someone, if possible, to addict me to World of Warcraft, while many people would pay to stop their addiction.

Anyway, what can I do to have fun in World of Warcraft?

You have to LIKE those kinds of games. Try playing more of the Warcraft series. If you get the story background, progressing in World Of Warcraft may seem more appealing to you because you'll recognize more places, people, and challenges. Plus meeting Illidan will seem freakin' awesome... until he kills you.

What about it attracts you? To me it's the environment, completing difficult quests, stomping the crap out of Horde (PVP server), saving gold to buy some good items, instances, etc. I personally LOVE RPGs, and sometimes it's better if you have friends involved to play with.

I'm on Jubei'Thos (oceanic) server at the moment, i'm thinking of transfering to another PVP server. Mine sucks, and it's 61% horde. Those bastards.

Oh yeah, try out different classes. Some of them are just dreadfully boring to play. For example, I have a 68 warrior. I love him to death but after a while he starts to taste like beans so I trade over to my 44 priest. It's all about your gaming style and what you want out of a game. You can e-mail me at boo_6917@yahoo.com if you want to try to figure it out.

Good luck.

(A normal problem with people: they don't READ their quests, so they're not really playing with the storyline, they're just playing. If you go along with each quest, and read it, it's actually quite fun and adds feeling to the game.)

I've been playing this game since launch, and granted, sometimes I get sick of it, but it's easy to get addicted to it. Getting to level 10 is kind of a chore, and even 1-60 is a pain because Outland is where the quests are really fun. My motivation for leveling alts is checking out high level characters who are totally geared out, and in turn, makes me want to level so I can surpass them, hehe :D

I'd try and find someone that wants to play with you (whether it's someone random on the server or a RL friend) and level with, so that way you're kinda "forced" to play so you don't get left behind, level-wise. I think the game is more enjoyable once you add the social aspect. I've met a ton of really cool people by just pugging instances. And hey, at level 20 you can do your first instance, Deadmines, for alliance side or at level 14 do Ragefire Chasm if you're horde.

Hope this kinda helps!

WoW is a boring game. Once you hit max level, there is really nothing left to do but raid. If you are like me and are into PvP (player vs player), the structured pvp environments are dull too. World PvP is the only way to have fun in WoW - that means travelling all over and killing random people where you can. That was what kept me playing for so long. But you really need a high level character, or a few friends your level to even attempt that.

If you are not into it, try something else. Most online games are exactly what you describe them as - rinse and repeat. Why dont you take up painting or read a few books instead?

Well two things. Its not always good to be addicted. Because if ya have a GF or wife. U could get dumped for it. Because of not paying enough attention to her.(yeah,i know)

but if u do get addicted(dont have a girl) what u do is either find some friends online. Get a close friend to join u like i did with my brother. And at lvl10 u go to a trainer and look at some stuff.Get what ya like, stock up on health and food and go somewhere else then the place youve been staying. (usually online or on WoW website it gives u a list on what lvl u r to go to a certain place to lvl)for horde and get to lvl15 i think it was and go to Org. and do your first instance and just get some friends and enjoy!!!Trust me and gets more fun u have friends on it! Oh yeah its WAY more fun on horde then alliance. Theres a bunch of little kids on alliance. Trust me.thats my opinion But do what ever u like. Its not my choice.

World of Warcraft is a superb game and is an invigorating experience for anyone who plays it. If you are looking for a game that will challenge you, engage you and reward you then it is the perfect title. It could even be said that playing it will make you smarter, as the game asks so much of you that you can’t help but grow as you play it.

World of Warcraft is a vast, long-lasting game that will occupy you for many hours. It contains almost infinite tasks and objectives. It is not easy to complete it, and in some ways the game is an open-ended experience. The closest thing the game has to an ending is its 60th level, and for you to reach that point requires a great deal of effort. It is an absorbing experience and will give you a thorough mental workout.

Your no longer incorrect. international of Warcraft is an extremely addicting activity. have you ever tried talking approximately it with him? no longer basically whinge to him on a similar time as hes sitting on the pc, I advise like take a seat with him while hes faraway from the pc and tell him how its affecting your relationship. in the journey that your the only one working does that advise your paying for his activity each month? heavily?

Just pay for one of your friends to play. I'm not completely addicted, I have a life but what keeps me coming back is that my friends play.

Well try runescape I guess, but it's really a step down. It's more player based than WoW, but there are a bunch of little kids which gets very annoying.
