...USA?
I would like to know whether there is any difference between video games that are destined to different geographical areas. For example, a video game that is labeled for the USA and the same game labeled for Europe.

This for the DS, PSP, Wii and PS2.

Thanks!

It depends on the title.

Some games are region free. The DS doesn't have region locking and the PSP only locks movies.

The Wii has region locking as does the PS2.

The non-region locked games can have localization differences. UK/EU games for DS tend to have multi-language selections while the US only has English. Other variances depend on the content of the games themselves. Sometimes the EU versions will have subtle game changes to prevent being banned in restrictive countries like Germany.

The Wii and the PS2 have other problems.. UK TVs are different than US TVs. See this link :

I hope this provide sufficient information - if not - -please post in the discussion board and I'll be happy to help.

Generally a game for a different region (USA, Europe, Asia, etc) won't play on a system that doesn't use the same region, the point of this is so the makers can charge what the market will allow in different regions... people in some countries might only make $100 a month, and no one could afford to pay the price we pay in the US for the game, so they release different region locked games so they cannot be imported from different countries to protect their profit margins. (IE, Americans cannot import a $5 game from China whereas they would normally charge $50 for it here)

Also, depending on the local laws, some content of the game could be edited. Several countries banned Modern Warfare 2 because of the "No Russian" mission where you shoot up an airport full of civilians, so they removed the mission on some games sold in that country.

the two are in lots of instances appeals for issues you ask for selfishly or could desire to look after your self. The Lottery costs you a around 70 cents for each greenback of return on the long term, and it has in simple terms materialistic reward. Prayer doesn t fee you something, the outcomes are based on the request s settlement with the perfect divine plan, and it could have eternal reward. The Lottery will injury your financial business enterprise account, yet making an investment in prayer builds your heavenly account -- in case you have properly-known the deposit that s waiting to take you out of the pink.

What everyone else said is correct, but there's also a difference in framerate. For instance, the US version of Sonic the Hedgehog had faster and smoother animation than the European version.
