Its exactly what the above user said; 'prerequisite' is exactly what it is.

Depending on what the instance is, what you need to do first to get there will vary. Kinda like getting into Kara, except in some cases (like molten core) theres not a physical key involved.

If you want to know what requirements are needed for a specific area/instance, you can look on:

www.thottbott.com

www.wowwikki.com

and probably a zillion other sites dedicated to warcraft.

There is also the main WoW site and forums. You can always pick a different user ID on the forums than what you use in game, if you are worried about being embarrassed. I think most (older) players realize though that people who bought the game after BC came out probably WONT realize how to do Ony/MC/UBRS/Naxx....why would they? That was uber gear...but for level 60s when that was the level cap. People will be headed to the outland at 58 more likely than not...why would they bother with uber instance gear when many outland green items are as good as tier .5 epics?

No, real life is a good place to meet guys. Do you really want to get into the drama of "internet dating"? Anyway, there's no point in playing World of Warcraft if you're just using it to meet people. It's an RPG, not a social networking site.

Attunement is something you must do before you can enter an instance. I like to think of it as a fancy word for prerequisite. In example: The Molten Core attunment is to do a series of quests.

Til around level 12, stick to your starting zone doing all the quests there, the quests will eventually be gone in that zone, and towards the end of the quests, you will get one that moves you onto the next zone.

As far as money is concerned, noone likes beggars, I'd suggest not begging for money on your realm as it will give you a bad rep fast, lots of ignores, and if you plan on playing that character all the way to 70, later on you might find that noone will want to instance with ya because they think you are greedy and might even have you on ignore already. Besides, asking for gold on the forums is worthless anyways, there are hundreds of servers in wow which are not connected to each other, and chances of finding someone from your server on your faction who is willing to give someone gold for nothing is very slim.

Just quest, fastest way to level in the game, and the higher level you get, the more gold you will get.
