Question:
Will MW3 simply be an updated MW2? Thoughts on BF3?

Huge, huge fan of MW2 and the majority of all of the CoD games. Ive been looking ahead to see what MW3 is going to be like thanks to all of the new trailers and sneak-peaks. No matter what new things IW is bringing to the table, it seems that its just MW2 all over again. Dont get me wrong, I loved MW2 all 10 prestiges ive played through, but myself and I'm sure the majority of the fanbase wants a little something new. What are your thoughts on the upcoming sequel to the franchise?
How about BF3? Ive pretty much been a "CoD fanboy" through the past years and I was leaning towards MW3 at first, but BF3 seems new and fresh. I wasn't too impressed with BF2 because the characters seem to have a stiff movement to them, compared to the CoD series, plus the game modes didnt have the lasting appeal that MW2 had. Hopefully I'll get both games and be able to see how the stack up. I'm really interested into what you guys are thinking about with these two titles coming up. Let me know your thoughts and what YOU plan to do!

Like you, I loved MW2 but wasn't keen on BF2. Initially thought that MW3 was just an update (same engine, stuff like that) but it seems like they're adding a LOT of new stuff, so it might be fresh.

BF3- I was blown away by the trailers but have been disappointed by the Beta- the PS3 one doesn't look great, hit detection is poor, stuff like that. Have tried it on my lovely new PC and it looks and plays substantially better, but after something like 50K MW2 kills on PS3, I can't get used to using mouse and keyboard for control and this is spoiling the game for me. Can't seem to properly configure a controller either- it's doing my head in.

After long consideration, I've decided to wait a week or so after release and compare reviews and forums to find out what people think. After all, there are other good games coming out at that time, so I doubt I'll get bored. I'm sure that whatever happens they're both going to be excellent games.

Honestly, MW3 is basically MW2. Same engine, same sounds, nothing new. Call of Duty is a great series, don't get me wrong, but it's going to be pretty much the same. Just a different campaign, I guess. I already pre-ordered BF3, it's a lot updated since BF2. So much I just don't feel like typing it all. I would go for BF3, but if you really like the CoD series and don't want to buy a game you haven't really known, stick with CoD.

Every cod game that comes out will play the same. There will be differences. New perks, new killstreaks, and etc. I'm excited to see the new classes, and the guns. I'm sure you will get the game no matter what. My advice is, don't play it to death. It's really fun, but if that all u ever play then your gonna hate it. Bf3 is ok. You should get it. Just so u can take breaks from mw3. Gears 3 is also a great game. Get all 3.

A LOT has changed from MW2, for one multiplayer will be more balanced, its more than likely the end of th MW series, Spec Ops is different, 80 levels till prestige, after 10th prestige option to start all over, and lot more. Get both BF3 for jets and vehicular combat and MW3 for everything.

I think you should forget both of them and pick up Skyrim.
