Okay, I have Windows XP. My monitor is a HP v17 and the cpu, or whatever you call it that you stick cd's in is a HP Pavilion a1206n. My graphics card is a ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 SERIES (which came with the computer). I have the Sims 3 game but it says my graphics/video card is not supported so i am soo disappointed. And we also have the DirectX9.0c. So what graphics card can i update that is not to pricey and will run the Sims 3 game because whenever I try to play it, the music and introductions skips and it loads slowly. My computer is around 5 years old. I will greatly appreciate it if you answer my question! Thanks!

If your HP Pavilion a1206n is stock specs, than maybe you'll need more than a graphic card upgrade. Based on stock spec you'll probably need to add 1 Gigabyte or more of RAMs. nvidia GT9500 1gb or ati HD4670 for your graphics need would be fine. And a dual core processor if possible. You can try to buy the card first and see if its enough to run the game.If loading takes too long than RAMs upgrade is next. If its not smooth enough than you'll know what to do. Good luck. Remember to ask the retail guy regarding the graphic card power requirements.

Hi baby-doll. Just a heads up on the Sims 3. I bought it for my Mac. It's not as good as Sims 2 because you have to buy a lot of stuff with real money online because the game doesn't include all the clothes, wallpapers, hair styles, house decor, etc. You would be better off staying addicted to the Sims 2. It's more fun and you don't have to look at the stupid store where you can't afford to have all the things the game should've come preloaded with anyways. I think it's lame. If you haven't already spent your money on this game, save it.

For Sims 3, the pix memory may be a controversy. Your computer screen would be positive. BTW:- Jeroen, every person who takes 2 hours to interchange a pix card sounds suss to me, it somewhat is a 10 minute interest on a private computing gadget.
