soo.. i derped myself
i was trying to install mods and i ended up not being able to play the game.. play was greyed out..
in an effort i deleted all minecraft files i could find in run
after that whenever i go on mojang and click on the download .EXE i get this from minecraft

Have you ever ran minecraft before? Perhaps you don't have the right version of java. If I recall, in the appdata .minecraft folder, there may be a TXT error log afterwards. Simply copy-pasting does not provide quite enough information.
