will there be a halo 4?

Question

when i say halo 4 i don't mean yet another prequel or spinoff. i mean the sequel to halo 3 with all of the charactors from the main trilogy.

For all intent and purposes, the main Halo games were only a Trilogy (Halo 1, 2, and 3). The various other games were all spin offs that added to the universe, similar to how other series have spin off stories (The Hobbit from The Lord of the Ring Series is one example I can think of). Now Bungie has left Microsoft so they can't touch Halo any longer, but they will likely be producing games similar in design to Halo for Activision now. Microsoft is still holding the Halo brand and has passed it to the new Halo group for Microsoft, 343 Industries. They are supposed to be working on some things (other than taking over the updates for Halo Reach), but we shall have to wait and see if it is a Halo 4. I don't believe they will even call it that name since the Halo Installations have been shut down now.

Reach is supposed to be the last Halo game but who knows. Halo is a money maker so there is always a possibility of a Halo 4.

well i really hope there is an actual halo 4, because as you know the legendary cutscene on halo 3 shows he is alive, so it would be cool to have a sequel. it would also be nice if it didnt have the same exact plan as all the other halo games: halo 1:hey, go kill some aliens. halo 2:heres some different armor and new guns, go kill some aliens. halo 3: your on earth now, go kill some aliens. halo wars: hey now its a strategy game, go kill some aliens. halo odst: you can play as more than one person now! go kill some aliens. halo reach: heres some new guns and vehicles and new characters! go kill some aliens.

lets hope not,halo is a dead series.as far as i am concerned it has always been overrated,i never found any thing that great about it and still don't know what all the hype is about.its an over hyped sci fi game,that's all it is.hope this helps.
