Problems with EA Download Manager (trying to get spore patch)?

Question

I have the EA download manager, an account with which I can log in on the EA Download Manager, a Spore account, (I installed the EA DM from the Spore Disk)
I think the problem might be that I preordered Spore from GameStop. When I load the EA DM it doesn't show anything in the area where you should see a list or whatever. The Spore Website isn't showing a way to download the patch directly from the site. Any help?

First of all, EA DM is a load of crap, don't use it. If there are any patches, get it straight from the site, or from others.

I don't think you are the only one with the problem. I've tried installing it multiple times with no success ... the EA download manager keeps crashing for me as well. I've also tried this on another computer in which I own.
