Whats the difference between an Iso psx and a eboot.?

I have a psp with custom firmware. I downloaded an PsX (PlayStation 1) emulator for it that runs on eboots in psp/game on my psp. when i was looking for eboots I also found psX Iso downloads also, and I was wondering what the difference is between an PsX eboot and an Iso PsX. If I can play Iso ps1 games then there wouldn't be a need for the emulator right? since I can just put the Iso in the normal Iso folder on my psp. Or am i just totaly lost on the subject lol.

ISOs are used for the emulator you downloaded and eboots are for the PSP's native PSX emulator.

A psx is a ps1 game also called a psx eboot.



An eboot is like a .exe file for the computer basically :P



It is the PSP's format of execution (pbp is the file extension). EBOOT is a bootable file..I'm not sure what the e stands for though, I'll see if I can look that up for ya.



EBOOT is a commonly used term to describe/name something executalbe/bootable

The emulators are useless now. Because you are just play the ps1 game like a psp game.

But the part i dont understand is, why are the ps1 games in isos. Mine are in eboots.



You are just supposed to download the bin file or img file and then convert it to an eboot with popstation GUI.



Here is an easier way.

Forget everything that you did and i will teach you how to put a ps1 game on your psp.



1.Download this : http://dl.qj.net/Simple-Popstation-GUI-v2.21-Beta-PSP-Tools-Utilities-(on-PC)/pg/12/fid/12220/catid/192



2.Download an iso, img, cue, bin, or pbp file of the ps1 game you want.



3.Put the file in the program you downloaded in step 1.



4.Press "GO"



5.After the file converts, it should be in a folder.



6.Drag the whole folder in your PSP
