I installed ZT2 and when I try to play it, I get the error "“You need at least 256MB of system memory to run Zoo Tycoon 2”".

Chip type: ATI display adapter (0x9490)

You listed everything important except the most important thing. Windows type.

You see, when I went from windows 98 to Windows XP, I lost the ability to play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 permanently.

Backward compatibility is becoming a rustier and rustier relic. I'm fairly sure it's your system being TOO modern as operating systems to. God I envy your rig though. Wanna buy me one like that?

Possible solutions : Right click the .exe, go to properties and compatibility mode. Try to set it to Windows 98, if that fails, Windows 2000 and iF THAT fails, windows XP. It may or may not solve the problem. So if it DOESN't...

...download software that lets you run a "virtual PC "on your actual pc. The software emulates, say, windows 98. So if you install windows 98 on your emulated desktop, it should run the game just fine (assuming it as meant for win 98).

Hope this helped.
