Pokemon crystal finding the legendary dogs!!!?

Question

So im playing Pokemon crystal and i have already caught suicune, but now im trying to find raiku and entei. I havent seen them once so i cant track them. does anyone know of an easier way to find them besides buy repels and walking in grass between two routes?

Don't forget that when using rebel the pokemon in front of the party has to be a level lower than the legendary beast trio, so if the trio are level 40 your starting PKMN has to be level 39 or lower.

after catching the ice one which in the crystal version you should automatically encounter if you follow the storyline, the other dogs are also released, but you have to keep searching anywhere where pokemon appear to find them, after that, they're location appears on your pokedex, but they move often, also, any damage you do to them does not heal
