Go up one level at a time. Go up to 3 (yes, you'll probably suck if you're not used to it) but play on 3 for a few days or maybe a week or so if you need it to get used to it. Once you're there, or at least close, up the level again and keep on til you're where you want to be. I know it takes awhile, but if you really want it and you want to actually be good too you have to practice with it.

People say that all "pros" use high sensitivity which isn't true at all. I have a friend who plays on 2 sensitivity and is ALWAYS, literally, always on top in S&D matches. He's like ranked 200ish in the world ratings. He's just really good and knows how to play the game well.

I personally play on 3 and tried getting used to 4 and 5 but couldn't do it. But if you really want to get to such a high sensitivity going up by 1 every now and then prob be the most sensible thing to do.

go up to 7 or 8

play solo and use different guns and strategies and such, slowly move up on sensitivity until you feel quite comfortable (you can skip #'s if you want)

sensitivity between CoD's and time from the last time I played plays a HUUUUUUGEEEE difference in my sensitivity.

If you want to use TEN I repeat TEN sensitivity, use control freeks and or slowly move around or how you would normally. I would help better but I'm bored, sigh.. rawr!! and if it was , matchmaking I would be better at helping :/

you should go play Combat Training with a sensitivity at 10. Then when you get used to it try it out online or on Zombies. and by the way, I play with 12 sensitivity ( xbox 360 dashboard exploit ) and i find it too slow ;p

Pro tip : Move your analog slowly and dont push it all the way to the direction you want. move it like half way.
