In your HONEST opinion, is the game worth buying? I have Diamond/Heartgold. I beat them both, and I'm not quite sick of pokemon yet. The pokemon look pretty weird, imho. But, how's the plot? How's the gameplay? Fun? Boring? Anyone that can give me good detail and their review on it will get 10 pts. Also, I heard you can't transfer your HG/DP/Pokemon from previous games until you beat the whole game. Is it true? Also, how many badeges? 8? 16? Thanks :)

There are 8 badges. It is actually quite fun so far. Love the story. There is a new type of competition called Pokemon Musicals, its basically just the dress up part of Hoenn's pokemon contests, its ok not as fun as the previous competitions. Love the new Gym designs, especially the second gym. And you get the National dex after beating the Elite 4, same as the previous games. The new cities are really cool too. They also decided to merge the Pokemon center and pokemart its really convenient. Dreamworld is a new feature, it has a house you decorate like the secret base from Sinnoh. The Professor is a female this time and you have 2 rivals so you can see the starters for your pokedex as you battle them. There's also 3 new ways to find pokemon, shaking grass/ground and bubbling water. Shaking ground and water are hard to get to though, they disappear if you encounter a wild pokemon.

TL;DR It's worth the $40 Cdn. The GBA games cost $50 when they came out. :/

Yes pokemon Black and white were the best buys for me of 2011! I have both and they were amazing! They have so much more than the previous games on the DS like Diamond, Platinum and Soul silver. Reasons to get B/W: - The story is really cool and fun - better than Diamond/pearl and platinum by far.... -The sprites in the battle move! Unlike previous pokemon games they arent just a picture, for instance in Diamond Charizard would just stay there with its mouth opened. In black/white they move, so charizard opens and closes its mouth, its tail moves, its wings. this makes it so much more better. And the camera changes for some moves. e.g. Zekrom's signature move makes the camera point up and then back down. - MOST of the pokemon are really awesome; some aren't and look really weird but the others look cool - Online Battles : unlike other games, you can battle ANYONE without a friend code. This made the online part so much better. You can even face people who are at the same level as you, so if you arent that good, you dont need to worry about facing the amazing trainers, you will face people at your same level. -Triple battles and rotation battles - two new styles of matches which make BW so unique! One reason that you may not want to get them is that the sequels Black 2 and White 2 are coming out this year. although since they are sequels, you should play Black and White Overall they are amazing games, i enjoyed them so much and are certainly one of the best games.
