Well, at this point I have a level 36 Redguard warrior, a level 27 Breton mage, and a level 16 Wood Elf thief. The warrior absolutely fits my playstyle the best, but I tried the other two because I wanted to see what else the game had to offer.
- In my opinion, being a warrior is pretty straightforward, I hit a point where things got hard until I enchanted some stuff with magic resistance, worked on blocking, and smithed some better armor. The early teens were challenging, but now with good armor and good weapons I can lay waste to anything in my path.
- The destruction mage started off strong and has continued to be strong. In my opinion being a mage and dual wielding something like ice spike is so good that it's almost cheesy. I had to ratchet up my difficulty to keep from getting bored.
- The thief is fun and archery is an awesome skill. Being a mischievous pickpocket is too entertaining. The only problem with her is that at the level she's at, she's great at a distance (sneak kills with a bow and arrow are tasty), but if her cover's blown she gets her butt kicked.
So, that's my read on them so far. I can only assume that the thief will get better as I level up other skills like my light armor. The mage is just killer, but not my favorite because it's soooo blasty, and the warrior starts off slow but turns into a god if you build it right.
