In WOW my character started saying things i did not type in. is it possible my account has been hacked?

as in like i was just sitting. then all of the sudden in the chat panel my character started saying actual sentences and spamming. and i did not type any of this in my character just started talking like someone else was typing in his chat.
can anyone help....? how do i stop this from happening, has my account been hacked?

When that happens, right click on your name in the window, and you can see that nothing happens. Because your name is actually just being typed by the guy above you in that chat line.

Whoever is the person above the line that you didn't really type is the culprit. Just report him to the GMs for abuse.

To do it you just type something random, then press the space bar until your text disappears and it just shows

"[1. General:] " the instant your words disappear stop pressing space or it won't work. Now type "[1. General:]" or whatever you want, followed by a player's name (identical to how it looks) and then type what you want "them" to say.

Its good for a laugh or two, but it is abuse of the chat system and good for a 3 day ban, so be careful. Like the other guy said, only do it to friends and not often.

LOL, i know how to do this. It's not a hack, i've pulled it on numerous people who knew i was joking. what you do, (dont pull it in wow, if someone reports u, u'll will get a talk with a GM, or so i've heard) is you type something, hold the spacebar for 10 secs, then.. like say it's in guild chat:



[Guild] insert name here: lol (hold spacebar 10 secs)



so then it will come up as ANOTHER line of chat. That above one was ur actual text. Now, what you do, is type the SAME thing, as ANOTHER person talking.



[Guild] insertanothernamehere: roflmao



SO, it's not a "cyber demon" it's just another player messing with you. Whoever is in the line above ur "possessed" message, pm them to stop it!!

Dude this has happened to me. Some people know "cheats" which they can take your character name in chats and it seems like your sayin something. Just try to find the person doing it and report them to blizz

you can't get hacked when you still playing lol..it's just a trick mainly so if you find the person doing this report them and problem solved

It sounds like you have been possessed by a cyber demon. The only remedy is a cyber exorcism.
