Question:
What race should I be in Skyrim?
?

I have recently started playing Skyrim again, and I want to make a classic sword and shield warrior. I am wondering if I should be an Orc or a Nord? I know Orcs are better in combat with berserker rage, but I like playing in 3rd person and doing a bit of roleplaying. Orcs are probably the ugliest race in Skyrim. Nords are also the natives of skyrim. Please no suggestions other than these two, and be decisive. I don't know what to pick, so don't say that it's my choice. Thanks

Nord fits into the game if you like to role play because it is the main race in skyrim. Plus combat won't be affected as much between a Nord and an Orc because you won't be using the berserker rage as much as you would use shout in battle. Nord is way better looking as well :P

Such a coincidence. I, too, started playing Skyrim again today. Been going as a nord assassin, haha!

Anyways, you say that you like 3rd person gameplay and roleplaying, yet you hate the sight of orcs since they look so damn ugly but you also say that they are good since they also have the berserker ability and I agree with that. I would say use a Nord since the roleplaying feels better with them, plus they don't look too hideous, not like the orcs, haha! Plus, orcs are pretty much one of the smallest minorities, staying in their strongholds, being in bandit groups and whatnot, a rare sighting in regular civilization. Go for Nord if you are roleplaying seriously, but use Orcs for comedic roleplaying haha! Plus, Orc warriors are mostly wild fighters using big-*** weapons and heavy armor, not the type for the sword and shield warrior as they are disciplined.

TL;DR

Go for a nord

Hope this was helpful!

Orcs, in my opinion, are the superior race. They look badass and are brutal in battle. If you're going for raw power and a brutal, ferocious character, choose an Orc. However, a Nord is a more classical looking swordsman.
