What are the best locations to find epic weapons and armor in World of Warcraft?

I have noticed in the Auction Hall, it is usually the same 5 or 6 people who always are selling epic weapons or gear... so apparently there has to be either an instance or area they are grinding to get these. Do you have any suggestions? Many lvl 60+ individuals in my guild have never had an epic weapon or armor drop. Please help! Thanks

any lvl 60-70 instance can drop epics. but keep this in mind. there are some blues that are better than epics....and some greens better than blues... just becuz its a epic, doesnt mean it is special. You should do Karazahn, onxyia, rag'noras. any of lvl 60-70 instances.

Epics drop randomly usually but it is uber-rare to experience this. 2 years playing 20 chars and it has happened only once to me.



If you really are set on having epics, then join a large sized guild (i.e. NERVous Horde) that targets the instances that drop the epics you are looking for. Thotbott has a whole slew of weapons and weapon sets in detail.



Keep in mind these large guilds run like small governments. Large number of officers with a set number of specialized battle sargeants that report to them. If you get into one, you will be expected to run instances 3-4 times a week, even after you get what you want.

Karazhan. Basically any place in outland, although at the moment the instances are pretty buggy, so I would stick with just farming if you really want the items. Truthfully, it is all about luck unless you get to the Big Boss of an instance, and even then you have to roll against other people. My level 70 only has 5 epics, and 3 of them were bought on the Auction House. Hope that helps.
