How to repair Rock Band 2 drum set for ps3?

Ok my red pad (snare) on my Rock Band 2 drum set has gotten to where it wont respond. It only responds when i hit it hard but even then it only registers 30% of the time. My warranty has long run out, and I want to know how to fix it. There are a couple of places that show how to fix a Rock Band 1 drum set pad but not a Rock Band 2 drum set. I know how to take the head off to get to the sensor but I cannot figure out how to get the sensor to register hits again, Please help.

Note: No buying a new drum set is not the answer I'm looking for (I'm saving my money up for an electronic drum set to practice and record music [no not an ion])

That happened to my yellow pad. I told my dad and he pulled the pad off. there were some wires underneath disconnected and we plugged them in. It works fine now.
